Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or another U.S. state; Alaska license must be active at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of primary care experience within the last 2 years
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong knowledge of the nursing process, infection control, patient education, and customer service principles
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support in an outpatient clinic setting while ensuring excellent patient care and service
• Collaborate with providers, clinic staff, and management to support efficient clinic operations
• Assist with patient flow, front desk support, and day-to-day clinic coordination
• Maintain medication inventory, supplies, and point-of-care quality control checks
• Document care and services accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner
• Support opening and closing procedures for provider clinics
• Anticipate the needs of providers and staff to help maintain smooth operations
• Promote a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following infection control standards
• Communicate effectively across departments and help resolve issues as needed
