Travel Nurse Job Details
- Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
- Setting: 41-bed Medical Telemetry Unit
- Location: Salem, MA
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift Pattern: Nights with every other weekend coverage
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 to $2,010
- Charting System: EPIC
- Floating: Required to applicable units as needed
Telemetry RN Job Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in one location
- Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen
- Strong clinical skills in a medical telemetry environment
- Experience caring for diverse patient populations, including cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use, GU, and GI cases
Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients in a fast-paced medical setting
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips accurately
- Administer and manage cardiac drips and other ordered therapies
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
- Collaborate with the care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when needed
- Document care and patient status accurately in EPIC
- Float to applicable units based on staffing needs
