Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Inpatient Rehabilitation Job in Madison, WI
Licensed Practical Nurses seeking travel nursing jobs in Madison, Wisconsin: join a high-acuity inpatient rehabilitation team on the east side and help adults recover from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions requiring focused rehab support. This 13-week travel LPN assignment offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, a supportive interdisciplinary team, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a respected Midwest healthcare setting.
Job Details
- Position: Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Inpatient Rehabilitation
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation; call required
- Setting: High-acuity inpatient rehabilitation
- EHR: EPIC
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350-$1,420
Job Requirements
- Active LPN/LVN license
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or another 24/7 skilled care environment
- Minimum 13 weeks of EPIC experience
- Inpatient rehabilitation or Med Surg experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient safety skills
- Ability to work in a high-acuity environment and support CNA teammates as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for adults in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Monitor patient status, respond to call lights, and help maintain a safe care environment
- Collaborate with the RN, CNAs, and interdisciplinary rehab team to support recovery goals
- Assist with mobility and use of rehabilitation equipment such as lifts and slide boards
- Document care accurately in EPIC and follow established clinical and scheduling procedures
- Support patients with varying acuity levels, including those referred from trauma and other acute care settings
- Contribute to a positive unit culture focused on quality, safety, and patient progress
