Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment in Frederick, Maryland
Experienced Labor & Delivery RN needed for a travel nursing assignment in Frederick, Maryland (zip 21701). Bring your 3+ years of Labor & Delivery experience, OB triage skills, and current RN license to a modern, family-centered obstetric unit with a supportive team and updated technology. - Shift: Night shift, 3×12-hour schedule (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Contract Length: 19 weeks
- Start Date: September 2, 2026
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
- Schedule Notes: Rotating holidays and weekends may apply
Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 3 years of current, strong Labor & Delivery RN experience
- OB triage experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current fetal monitoring certification required; C-EFM preferred, or AWHONN Intermediate accepted
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced credentials preferred/required per unit needs
- Experience using Meditech is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality obstetric nursing care for patients from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum
- Support patient care in Labor & Delivery, OB Triage, OB Operating Rooms, and OB PACU
- Monitor labor progress, maternal status, and fetal wellbeing throughout the shift
- Circulate for C-sections and assist with a variety of obstetric procedures
- Deliver compassionate, family-centered care in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Work closely with the care team to help ensure safe, efficient, and positive birth experiences
