PCU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse Job in Youngstown, Ohio (Progressive Care/Stepdown)

Job Details

Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- BLS required
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire; preferred at start
- NIH Stroke Certification preferred
- Neuro/stroke nursing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to complete a dysrhythmia exam
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to stepdown and progressive care patients
- Assess patient conditions, identify priorities, and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and protocols
- Monitor patients with cardiac drips and other complex medical needs
- Respond to changing patient conditions with confidence and timely intervention
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Support patient and family education throughout the care process
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards
- Care for adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity environment
