Travel Dialysis RN Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract

- Schedule: Monday through Sunday availability required, including Saturdays; no call and no block scheduling
- Orientation: Biweekly Monday orientation
- Additional Assignment Expectations: Support at nearby locations in St. Albans and Berlin may be required. Reliable personal or rental transportation is strongly recommended. All-season or snow tires are recommended during the winter months.
Dialysis Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) credentials
- At least 2 years of professional nursing experience
- At least 1 year of outpatient nursing experience
- Previous outpatient dialysis experience required
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Recent Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays and variable shift lengths
- Complete employment history and assignment documentation, including facility type, bed count, and electronic medical record experience
Outpatient Dialysis Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to chronic ESRD patients receiving outpatient dialysis treatments
- Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments and promptly identify changes in condition
- Monitor treatment response, patient safety, vital signs, fluid status, and vascular access
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Document assessments, interventions, treatment details, and patient responses accurately in Epic
- Educate patients and families regarding dialysis care, treatment adherence, access care, and safety
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support individualized treatment plans
- Maintain a safe, organized, and infection-controlled outpatient dialysis environment
- Provide nursing coverage or clinical support at designated nearby locations as needed
