Job Details
- Setting: Labor & Delivery
- Location: Albuquerque, NM 87109
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Weekly Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week option
- Weekend Requirement: 4-6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,880-$1,980
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience preferred
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate required; pending certifications may be considered
- Strong charting system experience required
- Experience with antepartum, triage, high-risk deliveries, vaginal delivery support, and C-section recovery
- Ability to work collaboratively in a patient-centered, fast-moving healthcare environment
- Experience with fetal monitoring and obstetrical patient care
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery
- Assist with high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections
- Perform triage assessments for obstetrical patients
- Monitor fetal status using external fetal monitoring and EFM equipment
- Support antepartum care, recover C-section patients, and maintain safe, compassionate care throughout the shift
- Collaborate with respiratory, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams as needed
- Float to like units within scope when facility needs require it
