Travel to Asheville, North Carolina, for a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse assignment where your maternal-child health expertise will support high-acuity patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Job Details
- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
- Type: Travel nursing assignment

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,620-$1,700
- Setting: Labor & Delivery unit
- Floating Areas: MFMU, MOMB, and NICU
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients
- Ability to provide immediate newborn care in the delivery setting
- Circulating experience preferred
- Current BLS and ALS certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Adaptable, friendly, and outgoing personality preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Support procedures such as D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst as needed
- Monitor fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring equipment
- Deliver immediate newborn care and support during delivery
- Collaborate with charge nurses, technicians, and the clinical care team
- Float to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU based on unit needs and patient care demands
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit policies and standards
