Job Requirements
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Virginia
- At least 1 year of related clinical experience preferred
- Strong therapeutic exercise and patient care skills
- Willingness to learn new techniques and contribute to manual correction approaches
- Experience with pelvic health, lymphedema, or orthopedics is a plus, but not required
- Comfort working with adult patients in a rehabilitation setting
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on PTA support under the direction of licensed therapy staff
- Deliver therapeutic exercise and treatment interventions tailored to individual patient needs
- Assist with manual correction techniques as part of a collaborative care plan
- Support patients with back pain, neck pain, TMJ, vestibular issues, pelvic floor concerns, lymphedema, balance and gait deficits, and stroke recovery
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record system
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach while helping patients improve mobility, function, and quality of life
