- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Typical Ratio: 1:4-5, based on staffing availability
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Ohio or compact state coverage
- Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
- BLS and ACLS required
- Ability to interpret telemetry and recognize dysrhythmias
- Experience with acute care, telemetry nursing, or stepdown nursing preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Ability to adapt in a high-acuity, fast-moving healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient conditions in a telemetry/stepdown setting
- Interpret telemetry rhythms and document findings in the electronic health record
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Support patient and family education throughout the plan of care
- Manage common therapies including Cardizem, Nitro, and Heparin drips as assigned
- Care for patients requiring oxygen support such as trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and nasal cannula
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and accurate clinical documentation
- Deliver compassionate care while maintaining professionalism in a dynamic unit
