Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890
• Location: Pikeville, Kentucky

• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holiday rotation as required
• Scheduling: No blocked scheduling
• Floating: May float among Medical-Surgical/Telemetry and other inpatient areas; aide duties may be assigned when needed
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:6
• Charting: CareView/EPIC experience preferred; onsite training available
• Dress Code: Black scrubs
• Travel Requirement: A 75-mile radius rule applies

Travel Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse experience
• Recent experience in a Level I or Level II trauma setting
• Active Kentucky or Compact Registered Nurse license
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Associate degree or nursing certificate
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and EKGs
• Successful completion of an EKG assessment during the compliance process
• Strong adaptability, reliability, communication skills, and commitment to teamwork
• COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious declination; weekly testing may be required when a declination is accepted

Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult patients across Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes, and promptly communicate clinical concerns
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments, administer medications, and evaluate patient responses to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and fellow nurses to coordinate individualized patient care
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Float to other inpatient areas and support team operations as assigned
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care throughout the patient stay
