Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Norfolk, Virginia 23507
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020-$2,130
• Employment Type: Per diem
• Schedule: Day shifts, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Weekly Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week when scheduled
• Duration: September 30, 2026 through October 3, 2027
• Per Diem Requirement: Work at least one shift per month to remain active in the per diem pool

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Virginia
• At least 2 years of professional RN experience
• At least 1 year of recent Telemetry, Progressive Care, or related acute-care nursing experience
• Ability to provide patient care in an ER Holds, Telemetry, or Medical-Surgical setting
• Ability to work independently, adapt to changing patient volumes, and float as needed

Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the ER Holds unit who are awaiting inpatient bed placement
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the appropriate care team
• Carry out provider orders and support timely coordination of patient care
• Float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units when ER Holds volume is low
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and follow established nursing policies and procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, high-quality patient care
