Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting
• Current Physical Therapist license in Pennsylvania
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Outpatient orthopedic clinical experience
• Ability to complete Pennsylvania fingerprinting requirements
• Strong clinical judgment, patient communication, and documentation skills

Outpatient Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and mobility-related conditions
• Develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings
• Provide focused one-to-one therapy sessions and progress treatment appropriately
• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, allowing approximately 60 minutes for initial assessments when needed
• Document patient care thoroughly and efficiently, including designated documentation time during the workday
• Monitor patient progress, modify therapeutic interventions, and communicate recommendations to the care team
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, home programs, injury prevention, and safe progression of activity
• Manage an outpatient caseload of approximately 14 patients during a typical 8-hour day
