Travel Registered Nurse Supervisor – House Supervisor in Eureka, California
Lead inpatient nursing operations as a House Supervisor in Eureka, California. Bring your clinical expertise, leadership, and calm decision-making to an on-site travel nursing contract supporting safe patient flow and care teams across multiple units in a collaborative acute-care hospital environment. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,480-$2,610
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Healthcare Setting: Inpatient acute care and nursing administration
- Location: Eureka, California
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- End Date: December 28, 2026
- Contract Duration: 8 weeks
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Shift Hours: 5:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Orientation: 40 hours
Registered Nurse Supervisor Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or a qualifying compact license in hand at submission
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience; leadership, charge nurse, or nursing supervisor experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Experience in inpatient acute care, nursing supervision, or hospital operations preferred
- Strong knowledge of patient flow, staffing coordination, regulatory requirements, infection prevention, and workplace safety
- Ability to manage urgent clinical situations, facilitate communication, and support nursing teams across multiple units
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of recent experience
House Supervisor Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing care delivered across inpatient units
- Provide nursing leadership during rapid response events, crises, sentinel events, and other high-priority situations
- Support facility and bed-diversion decisions to promote safe, efficient patient placement
- Coordinate new admissions, transfers to higher levels of care, post-surgical care, and post-procedure needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners, including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory services, rehabilitation, social services, transportation, and rapid response teams
- Promote compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, infection-control, isolation, and workplace-safety standards
- Respond to patient and family concerns while maintaining a high standard of customer service
- Support discharge processes, including discharge against medical advice when applicable
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing leaders, ancillary departments, patients, and families
