Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010
• Location: Akron, Ohio
• Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 23, 2026
• End Date: January 22, 2027
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; 36 hours per week

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a permanent Ohio license or compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of combined permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; certifications must be current and in hand
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty, completed within the past 12 months
• Successful completion of required background screening, fingerprinting, drug screening, and health documentation
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccination required, with applicable medical or religious exemptions considered
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication assessments during orientation
• Ability to complete required fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, individualized nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, escalating concerns promptly to the appropriate clinical team
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders, policies, and evidence-based nursing practice
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and support continuity of care
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, fall prevention, and quality outcomes throughout each shift
