Pharmacy Technician Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $860-$920
- Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19104
- Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital-affiliated outpatient pharmacy
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; schedule may vary slightly with flexibility as needed
- Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13-week contract
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
Pharmacy Technician Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience in an outpatient pharmacy setting
- Completed Pennsylvania pharmacy registration
- Current PTCB or CPHT certification
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with pharmacists, patients, and other healthcare team members
- Consistent work history and demonstrated reliability in previous positions
Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of an outpatient hospital pharmacy under pharmacist supervision
- Assist with prescription processing, medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing workflows
- Accurately enter and maintain patient and medication information
- Coordinate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to help ensure timely medication service
- Provide professional customer service to patients and respond to routine questions within the scope of the role
- Maintain an organized, clean, and compliant pharmacy work area
- Follow established procedures for medication handling, inventory control, and patient safety
