Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Columbus, Ohio 43210
Bring your Labor & Delivery RN expertise to a high-acuity, high-volume Level 4 women’s health unit in Columbus, Ohio. This travel nurse assignment offers hands-on maternal-child nursing in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with approximately 450 deliveries per month. Job Details

- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 – $2,160
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 11/16/2026
- End Date: 2/15/2027
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Float Requirement: May be required to float within the organization as needed
- Setting: Level 4 Labor & Delivery unit
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced or NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with IV starts and Labor & Delivery clinical skills required
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred
- Must be able to complete credentialing and fingerprinting promptly due to compliance timelines
- Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor reference
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care for laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
- Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, recovery, and fetal monitoring
- Perform IV starts, medication administration, and ongoing maternal and fetal assessments
- Monitor and respond to fetal heart rate patterns, contractions, and maternal status changes
- Assist with procedures such as cervical exams, Foley placement, epidural support, and cord blood collection
- Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold unit standards for quality and safety
