• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 – $1,860
• Schedule Notes: Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Orientation: 36 hours

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Valid Illinois state license
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Adult acute care, ICU, and ventilator experience required
• Experience with bubble CPAP and short-term mechanical ventilation preferred
• Ability to support patients across the lifespan, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Previous travel respiratory therapist experience required
• Must be open to weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy services to patients in a hospital setting across multiple care areas
• Assist with airway management, ventilator support, and oxygen therapy
• Perform and interpret ABGs, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene procedures
• Support NICU and nursery patients with bubble CPAP and short-term ventilation as needed
• Assist with intubations, extubations, and emergency respiratory interventions
• Manage a variety of respiratory treatments including BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and aerosol therapies
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rapid response teams to support safe, effective patient care
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical communication
