Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (MICU) Travel RN Job – Columbus, Ohio
Join a fast-paced Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This 13-week travel RN opportunity is ideal for an experienced critical care nurse who thrives in high-acuity adult ICU settings and is ready to make a meaningful impact on critically ill patients.
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
Job Details

- Shift: Night shifts
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Patient Ratio: 1:1-2
- Charting System: Epic
- Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Current RN license in hand at the time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong skills in ventilator management, telemetry, IV starts, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Experience caring for patients with multisystem organ failure and other critical conditions
- Ability to work in a high-acuity adult ICU environment
- Prior travel nursing experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Intensive Care Unit setting
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure
- Provide care for ventilated patients and support continuous IV sedation when indicated
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Manage telemetry, ventilator support, and other advanced ICU therapies
- Document accurately in Epic and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Support patients requiring continuous glucose monitoring and specialized IV equipment
- Adapt to floating within related units as needed to meet patient care needs
