- Shift: 5×8 day shifts, typically 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Shift Duration: 8 hours
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Weekend Rotation: Approximately 1 weekend every 4 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,790-$1,920
- Charting System: Cerner
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of clinical dietitian experience required
- RD/RDN credential required
- Active Illinois state license required
- Experience with adult outpatient or clinic nutrition preferred
- Experience with enteral nutrition (tube feedings) required
- Experience with total parenteral nutrition (TPN) required
- Experience with nutrition assessments and reassessments required
- Experience with protein-calorie malnutrition required
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Experience using Cerner preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments for hospitalized patients
- Develop and update individualized medical nutrition therapy plans
- Support patients receiving enteral nutrition and TPN
- Identify and address protein-calorie malnutrition and related nutrition concerns
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes
- Provide evidence-based dietary guidance, nutrition education, and counseling as appropriate
- Document clinical findings and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
- Maintain high standards of patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting
