- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 3×12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
- Weekend/Holiday Expectations: Rotating weekends and holidays; two of the three winter holidays required
- Unit Focus: Obstetric care from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum
- Location Highlights: Frederick offers a welcoming community feel, scenic mountain views, excellent dining, and convenient access to Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 3 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience
- OB Triage experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Fetal monitoring certification required: C-EFM preferred; AWHONN Intermediate accepted
- Certifications preferred/required for the role include BLS, NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN Advanced
- Experience with Meditech charting preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based, patient-centered environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring, delivery, triage, and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Support circulating for C-sections and other obstetric procedures as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary staff to support optimal outcomes
- Deliver care in Labor & Delivery rooms, OB Triage, OB ORs, and OB PACU
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards for quality and safety
- Adapt to a busy, modern unit with a commitment to family-centered care
