MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience in a hospital, imaging center, or similar clinical setting
• At least 1 year of recent Epic EMR experience required
• ARRT MR certification required
• Current state license required
• BLS certification required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Ability to work overnight shifts and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced radiology environment
• First-time travelers may be considered based on experience

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations for a diverse patient population, including adults, pediatrics, geriatrics, infants, and adolescents
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain imaging workflows to support comfort, safety, and a positive patient experience
• Operate MRI equipment and perform a broad range of magnetic resonance imaging studies with accuracy and efficiency
• Administer and monitor contrast media when indicated, following established patient safety protocols
• Maintain image quality standards and support post-processing and PACS documentation as needed
• Work collaboratively with radiology, nursing, and support teams to ensure smooth patient flow
• Follow infection control, trauma, and MRI safety practices at all times
• Float to other qualified areas or campuses when needed, based on competency and census demands
