Travel Mammography Radiologic Technologist Job in New Haven, CT

Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel Mammography Technologist
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,260 – $2,430
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with shifts running 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM and 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM as needed
- Weekend Coverage: Every other Saturday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM; if scheduled on Saturday, a weekday off is provided
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Floating: Between 4 sites as needed
- Charting System: Epic
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
- Location: New Haven, CT 06510
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience required
- ARRT R and ARRT M certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with Hologic mammography equipment required
- Prior travel radiology experience required
- Active Connecticut radiologic technologist license required prior to the start date
- Breast ultrasound experience preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced breast imaging and women’s imaging environment
Responsibilities
- Perform screening, diagnostic, digital, and 3D mammography exams with accuracy and attention to patient comfort
- Support high-quality breast imaging services for adult patients in an acute care setting
- Operate and maintain imaging workflows using Hologic mammography equipment
- Follow radiation safety, isolation precautions, and universal precautions at all times
- Work collaboratively with the radiology team to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent patient care
- Float between multiple sites while maintaining professionalism and consistency across locations
- Document exams and follow established charting procedures in Epic
- Contribute to a patient-centered experience with compassion, precision, and attention to detail
