• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,280 – $2,400
• Location: Berkeley, CA 94705
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend and as needed by unit demand
• On-Call: As needed
• Floating: May float within scope of practice as needed

Job Requirements

• Active California RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred/required per unit guidelines
• Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Strong experience caring for neuro patients in a critical care setting
• Epic charting experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Comfort working with adults and geriatric patients in a high-acuity environment
• Flexibility to float between units or campuses when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing to ICU patients with a focus on neuro cases
• Monitor and manage complex patient conditions, including ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and support advanced ICU interventions per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic electronic health record (EHR)
• Respond to changing patient needs with clinical judgment and strong critical thinking skills
• Support safe patient care during weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call needs
• Adapt to floating assignments while maintaining high standards of patient care
