Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care Neuroscience Unit in Spokane, WA

- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,960 – $2,070
- Setting: Acute care neuroscience and telemetry unit
- Orientation: Provided prior to start
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the appropriate state, or compact license in hand at submission
- At least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
- Neuro nursing experience strongly preferred; at least 6 months of neuro experience required for certain night shift needs
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting system required
- Experience managing patient ratios of approximately 1:5
- Comfort working in a high-acuity environment with neuro and telemetry patients
- Ability to float between comparable acute care units as needed
- Must be willing to work every other weekend and commit to holiday coverage as scheduled
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry and neuroscience patients with a variety of diagnoses
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately
- Utilize the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and support care for stroke and other neuro patients
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate safe, effective patient care
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols and best practices
- Support pre- and post-neurosurgical care and other unit-specific patient needs
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic
- Adapt to unit needs, including floating when required and maintaining flexibility throughout the assignment
