Job Details
- Position Type: Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (Travel SLP)
- Setting: Hospital-based speech therapy with outpatient and acute care exposure
- Location: Duncan, Oklahoma
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday-Friday day shift
- Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810 – $1,940
- Patient Population: Newborn to geriatrics
- Charting System: Meditech preferred
- Case Mix: Speech, language, feeding, swallowing, and neuro-related disorders
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Active Oklahoma SLP license or compact license eligibility
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- Experience with inpatient or outpatient swallowing evaluations preferred
- Meditech experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Provide therapy for a broad range of diagnoses including autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, sensory disorders, food aversions, CVA, Parkinson’s disease, Bell’s palsy, and DiGeorge syndrome
- Perform bedside swallow evaluations and modified barium swallow studies
- Support AAC users through assessment and treatment planning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and interpretation services
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain high standards of clinical care
- Help patients and families improve communication, safety, and quality of life
