- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, with weekend rotation as needed
- Unit Highlights: 30-bed cardiac Med-Surg unit with telemetry support, charge nurse assistance, unit secretary on days, and PCT coverage
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
- Cardiac and telemetry knowledge with strong EKG rhythm identification skills
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Comfort working with cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring
- Experience with Meditech preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and participate in weekend rotation
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to a cardiac Med/Surg patient population
- Monitor telemetry patients and identify rhythm changes promptly
- Administer and manage medications and drips within scope and unit protocols
- Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Maintain professionalism while supporting a positive patient experience
