- Clinical Environment: Ambulatory surgical and procedural cases
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 3-4 years of PACU nursing experience required
- Prior travel nurse experience is not required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- PALS or ENPC certification required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced post-anesthesia care unit
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality post-anesthesia recovery care for ambulatory surgery patients
- Monitor patients closely for airway management, pain, nausea, and recovery status
- Assess vital signs and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Prepare patients for safe discharge following procedural recovery
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to support patient flow
- Document care accurately in EPIC
- Support a positive, professional environment for patients, staff, students, and new team members
