Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg RN Job in Dallas, Texas
Travel Registered Nurse opportunity in Dallas, TX 75230: Join a dynamic medical-surgical team in North Dallas and build your acute care experience on a busy 23-bed med/surg unit. This 13-week night shift RN assignment offers a collaborative environment, strong clinical exposure, and convenient access to dining, shopping, and major city routes.
Job Details
- Position: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Dallas, TX 75230
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,350 to $1,420
- Unit Size: 23 beds
- Charting System: Meditech
- Floating: All acute care areas, including med surg, general surgery, renal transplant, telemetry, neuro, and ortho
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong time management, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting
- Comfort with floating to additional hospital units as needed
- Experience working night shifts preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality bedside care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols
- Collaborate with RNs, patient care technicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Support patient safety, unit flow, and efficient care delivery
- Float to other acute care areas when assigned
