Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current NIHSS certification required
- Ability to read telemetry strips
- Strong clinical judgment in a dynamic acute care hospital environment
- Ability to work within a travel assignment structure
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients
- Assess patient conditions, monitor changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
- Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and provider orders
- Interpret and respond to telemetry strips as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
- Educate and support patients and families with compassion and professionalism
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented Med/Surg unit environment
