Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Job in Houston, TX 77090

This 50-bed, high-acuity unit serves a growing Houston healthcare community and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Emergency Department RN who thrives in trauma care, teamwork, and 12-hour day shifts.

- Setting: Emergency Department with trauma and stroke-capable services

Job Requirements
- Active RN license with eligibility to work in Texas
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- TNCC certification required
- Trauma nursing experience strongly preferred
- Meditech experience preferred
- Strong teamwork skills, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with varying levels of acuity
- Deliver care for trauma cases and ED procedures in a busy, team-oriented environment
- Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changing clinical needs
- Collaborate with physicians, providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare staff to support optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Support safe and efficient patient flow in a 4:1 ratio environment
- Assist with rapid interventions using department equipment, protocols, and best practices
- Contribute to a positive unit culture and dependable weekend coverage
