Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Travel Assignment in Bryson City, North Carolina
Travel RN opportunity in Bryson City, NC for a Med/Surg Registered Nurse seeking a supportive critical access hospital setting in the Great Smoky Mountains. Job Details
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing (Med/Surg)
- Healthcare Setting: 17-bed critical access hospital
- Location: Bryson City, NC 28713
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710 – $1,800
- Patient Population: Adult patients, primarily 65+
- Weekend Coverage: Weekend rotation
- Call Requirements: None
- Charting System: Paragon
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- At least 2 years of nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Experience with PICC/CVC management
- Wound care experience preferred
- Ability to float between Med-Surg or equivalent nursing areas as needed
- Comfort working in an inpatient, observation, and swing bed environment
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care for Med/Surg patients
- Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status
- Manage PICC/CVC lines and provide wound care as indicated
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery
- Deliver care in a facility with a strong team culture and excellent support services
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
- Support safe, efficient care for a predominantly adult and older adult patient population
