Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Winchester, VA

Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
- Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Winchester, VA 22601
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Shift Time: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call: None
- Scheduling Note: No block scheduling
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- Cardiac nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Experience floating to other hospital units required
- Active Virginia RN license or compact RN license
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Must be comfortable caring for acute care patients
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and complete nursing assessments in accordance with standards of care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing needs and patient census
- Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC
- Support a positive patient experience through compassionate, attentive bedside care
- Maintain a professional presence and follow unit guidelines and dress code expectations
