Job Details

• Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• Setting: Inpatient hospital environment with Med Surg and Outpatient coverage
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: June 16, 2026
• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts; Monday-Friday preferred, flexible schedule
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,350 – $1,460
• Location: Garden City, Kansas
• EMR: Epic
• Dress Code: Any color is acceptable
• Floating: May float to Med Surg and Outpatient services

Job Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification or state licensure as required
• At least 1 year of experience preferred in a hospital, rehab, or acute care setting
• Ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient therapy environments
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach to patient care
• Experience using Epic EMR is helpful
• Ability to adapt to a flexible weekday schedule and float as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist the physical therapist in delivering therapeutic interventions and treatment plans
• Support patient mobility, functional recovery, and safe progression toward rehabilitation goals
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the EMR system
• Collaborate with the rehab team and care team to promote quality patient outcomes
• Provide care across inpatient, Med Surg, and outpatient service areas as needed
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment in a hospital setting
