Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel Contract in Tracy, CA

Job Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery or related obstetrics experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certifications
- Experience with fetal monitoring, triage, and obstetric patient care
- Proficiency with vaginal delivery support and C-section assistance
- Ability to complete compliance requirements and provide recent work history verification
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring, delivery, and postpartum patients
- Monitor fetal status and assist with external fetal monitoring
- Support vaginal deliveries and circulate for C-sections as needed
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Perform assessments including fundal checks, lochia, pain management, and postpartum care
- Triage obstetric patients and respond quickly to changing patient conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to promote optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards
