- Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts
- Schedule: 7-on/7-off block rotation
- Hours: 40 hours per week; 36 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $900 – $970
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy technician experience
- Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Experience with medication filling, distribution, and inventory processes in a hospital setting
- Knowledge of sterile preparation, IV handling, and safe medication practices
- Familiarity with automated dispensing systems and medication cart workflows
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Accurately fill medication orders for pharmacist verification
- Prepare extemporaneous and sterile products in accordance with hospital procedures
- Stock medication areas, carts, trays, boxes, and kits as needed
- Manage medication distribution, returns, and delivery requests through phone, window, fax, computer, and tube systems
- Support automated dispensing machines by restocking, resolving discrepancies, and processing reports
- Repackage oral medications, maintain barcoding accuracy, and monitor expiration dates
- Assist with inventory control, recalls, and supply organization
- Contribute to teamwork, workflow efficiency, and performance improvement efforts
