- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Orientation: 20 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
- Floating: Required to float to similar units as needed
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- Current BLS certification from AHA only
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
- Prior telemetry experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Travel nursing experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative acute care environment
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for patients with general internal medicine and geriatric diagnoses
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in cardiac status
- Administer medications and manage therapies including IV insulin drips, oxygen support, and central line care
- Support patients requiring isolation precautions and special pathogens-related care
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, IV teams, and rapid response resources
- Float to similar inpatient units as needed to support patient care needs
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
- Promote a professional, respectful, and education-focused care environment
- Participate in safe, effective care for a busy 28-bed acute care unit
