Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Travel Job in Madison, Wisconsin
Experienced Registered Nurse needed for a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
- Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry RN
- Setting: 28-bed acute care medical unit
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin
- Start Date: 11/9/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Schedule: Day and night rotation, every other weekend, holidays as needed
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Orientation: 20 hours
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse Job
- Float: Required to float to like units as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the Med/Surg Telemetry specialty
- Current Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Epic charting experience required
- Telemetry nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and every other weekend
- Must successfully complete a telemetry exam prior to start
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments, including blood products and IV insulin protocols
- Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and oxygen therapy
- Provide care for patients with dysrhythmias, infectious diseases, and complex internal medicine diagnoses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support coordinated, high-quality care
- Maintain isolation precautions and promote a safe, professional acute care environment
- Float to like units when needed and support weekend coverage as scheduled
