Travel Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Job in Morgantown, WV | Telemetry Unit
Travel Registered Nurse needed in Morgantown, West Virginia for a 13-week Med/Surg Telemetry assignment with competitive weekly pay, 12-hour night shifts, and a collaborative acute care team. - Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
- Start Date: ASAP
- Charting System: Cerner
- Orientation: 12 hours
- Weekend Coverage: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
- Patient Ratio: 1:5-7

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or a Compact state; pending license accepted for submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- AHA-issued certifications preferred where applicable
- Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing and telemetry patient care strongly preferred
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting
- Permanent address must be at least 100 miles from the facility; candidates 75-100 miles may be considered case by case
- Minimum 2 manager and/or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required
- Required documentation must be submitted by the stated deadline
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care to adult med/surg and telemetry patients
- Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform routine nursing interventions
- Support patients with a variety of acute medical conditions in a collaborative care setting
- Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, PT, and rapid response resources
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and follow established unit workflows
- Participate in shift huddles, patient flow support, and safe handoff communication
- Promote a positive, team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of nursing care
