- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule Note: 3 weekend shifts required within each 4-week scheduling period
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Unit Setting: 49-bed Med/Surg unit with a supportive interdisciplinary care team
Job Requirements
- Active Missouri RN license
- Current BLS certification
- At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Comfort with 12-hour night shifts and weekend scheduling
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse patient population
- Perform and monitor IV therapy, Foley and external urinary catheter care, wound care, post-op care, trach care, NG tube care, and feeding tube care
- Support patient safety, comfort, and recovery through attentive assessments and timely interventions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes
- Use bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and personal connection practices to enhance the patient experience
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow unit workflow standards
