Job Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in hand
- At least 1 year of med-surg or rehab nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- Ability to work nights and every other weekend
- Comfortable floating to inpatient med-surg areas as needed
- Experience with patient ratios of approximately 1:5-7
- Travel nursing experience preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a rehabilitation setting
- Support patients as they work toward improved mobility, independence, and recovery goals
- Monitor patient status, administer treatments, and follow individualized care plans
- Perform trach care and management; respiratory therapy support is available if needed
- Carry out core med-surg nursing duties, including oxygen administration and peripheral line care
- Collaborate with the care team and respond appropriately to rapid response/code situations
- Document care accurately in Epic and maintain safe, efficient patient handoffs
- Float to inpatient med-surg units when required
