Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Kansas City, KS

Job Details
- Specialty: Telemetry / Med-Surg Telemetry
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Duration: 15 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990 – $2,090
- Location: Kansas City, KS
- Setting: General med-surg / telemetry unit with a supportive, team-oriented environment
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Based on unit needs, including two major holidays
- Floating: May occasionally float to acute care or overflow/surge areas as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
- Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and unit priorities
- Comfort working nights, weekends, and select holidays
- Willingness to complete orientation and onboarding requirements prior to start
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for telemetry and med-surg patients in a busy acute care setting
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and carry out patient care plans
- Assess, document, and communicate patient status accurately and in a timely manner
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
- Support safe patient flow and assist with floating assignments when needed
- Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach while delivering high-quality nursing care
